Brazil Initiates Anti-Dumping Investigation on Steel Cord for Tyres from China

On July 1, 2024, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretariat issued Notice No. 26 of 2024 in the official gazette, announcing the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on steel cord for tyres (Portuguese: cordoalhas de aço para pneus)  imported from China, at the request of the Brazilian company BMB Belgo Mineira Bekaert Artefatos de Arames Ltda. The Mercosur tariff code for the product in question is 73121010. The investigation period for dumping is from October 2022 to September 2023, and the period for damage analysis is from October 2018 to September 2023.
