Colombia Launches Anti-Dumping Investigation on Chinese Tires

On October 21, 2025, Colombia initiated an anti-dumping investigation on new rubber tires for trucks and buses originating from China.

In Announcement No. 287 published in the official gazette, Colombia's Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism stated that the investigation was launched following a request by the Colombian Business Association (Asociación de Empresarios de Colombia). The investigated products fall under Colombian tariff code 4011.20.10.00.

The announcement took effect on the date of its publication.

According to reports, the association has requested the authorities to impose provisional and final anti-dumping duties on the above-mentioned imported products. The requested duty is 167.1% of the FOB price for a period of five years.

The investigation period for this case spans from June 27, 2024, to June 26, 2025.

In this case, the complainant has proposed using the United States as a surrogate country to calculate the normal value.
