The Argentine government has recently issued Resolution No. 1/2025, officially published in the government gazette, announcing a reduction in import tariffs for tires and other products to enhance competition between domestic and international markets.
From January 1 to April 30, 2025, import tariffs on tires will drop to 25%. The rate will be further reduced to 20% between May 1 and August 31, before declining to 16% starting September 1.
The government hopes that the gradual tariff cuts will relieve tax burdens on tire importers and help lower costs for consumers, easing price pressures in the local market.
