On September 27, 2024, the Indian Ministry of Finance's Tax Department issued Notification No. 17/2024-Customs (ADD), confirming the acceptance of the final anti-dumping recommendations by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry on June 29, 2024, regarding Isobutylene-Isoprene Rubber from or imported from China, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, and the United States.
The decision imposes a five-year anti-dumping duty on the products from these countries, as follows:
● China: $325/ton
● Russia: $931/ton
● Saudi Arabia: $594-$653/ton
● Singapore: $1047-$1152/ton
● United States: $781-$859/ton
The customs code for the involved products is 40023100. This measure takes effect from the date of publication in the official gazette.
